Message from the Principal
Welcome/Bienvenue to Académie Saint André Academy.
This year, 2017- 2018, marks a turning point in the life of ASAA. We have transitioned to become an ECS to Grade Four dual track school. This change in the student dynamic has caused a shift in our philosophical approach to the learning happening within our walls. Our ability to focus solely on the needs of primary and elementary students allows for the implementation of academic and behavioural programming at a very concentrated level.
This transition, the moving of the grade five to nine students to our sister school, Ecole Mother D’Youville School, has freed up some of the common spaces that have been utilized as classrooms over the past two years. We have regained our library and Science rooms as well as one classroom that, this year, will be used as an intervention room. These spaces will certainly enhance the learning opportunities offered to our students.
As our staff continues to grow, our strong faith-based culture will continue to grow. It has been and will continue to be a team effort as we become an important part of the Beaumont community. As a school, we are continuing to create a rich tradition with our students, staff, parents and parish.
We are thrilled about the close relationship we have built with the Catholic community of St. Vital. Thank you to this wonderful community for the ongoing prayers and for supporting Catholic education at Académie Saint André Academy and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools.
