Special Events

There will be a number of special events held throughout the year to help reach the goal of $350,000. Details for these events can be found here, so mark your calendars and plan to attend. You’ll have a great time while supporting a great cause!

Our playground project was nominated for the Aviva Community Fund! The only way our playground was considered for this was if our idea generates votes. Once again, a big thank you to all the voters who took time each day during voting rounds to help us out. We were successful in reaching the top 10 and are grateful for the $5,000.00 earned for our playground!

Aviva Community Fund- SAINT-ANDRÉ Academy Playground Project Nomination

The Steve Bell Benefit Concert and Fundraising Auction was a HUGE success and is certainly up there as one of the highlights of the year! Approximately 300 people attended the event at Eaglemont Christian Church. We were all treated to not only the incredible musical talents of Steve Bell but also heard the touching stories about his life and ministry. The silent and live auctions were very successful and unofficially it looks like we’ll raise approximately $15,000 towards the playground fundraising goal!

There are so many people to thank starting with the committee members of the Friends of SAINT-ANDRE Society. Chaired by Heather Lastiwka, the committee has worked so hard this year to organize our fundraising events and plan for the new playground. For the Steve Bell event, the committee was joined by numerous other volunteers to oversee various aspects of the evening such as the coordination of the auction and refreshments. Thank you to all of our volunteers – your hard work and support has been crucial to our success.

Thank you also to all the individuals, families and businesses who either helped sponsor the evening or donated items for the auction. As well, we’re so appreciative of the generosity displayed by everyone who purchased items. There was a great selection of items and we hope you’re pleased with your purchases!

The Beaumont Carnival Fundraiser for the SAINT-ANDRÉ Academy Playground Project on Saturday was a HUGE success and very well attended. The totals are not all in but it looks like around $7,000 will be raised for the playground fund! If was a fantastic community event put on by the Friends of SAINT-ANDRÉ Society but we would especially like to thank kindergarten parents Joe and Renee Drover who donated the use of the bouncy houses and organized the trade-show portion of the event. Joe spent hours organizing the event and has donated all the proceeds to the playground fund. On behalf of the school, thank you so much to the Friends of SAINT-ANDRÉ Society and the Drover family for their efforts to make the Carnival so much fun. We’re sure that kids and parents will be talking about it for a long time.
